CPPS Training Update
In the Agency Listening Sessions and Tours that many of you have participated in over the past many months, we heard a resounding theme of agency teams requesting centralized standard training for the current payroll system, CPPS. The Central Payroll Team has recently been able to staff a much-needed position to support these needs – Statewide Trainer. Melissa has been on board for several months and has been working diligently to understand tasks in CPPS and standardize many processes through the creation of training materials.
Today, CPU is happy to release a self-guided, e-learning module for employees making entries into CPPS. New employees, and those who want refresher training, can visit the OSC website for step-by-step data entry instruction to enter a new hire into CPPS.
In recent years, CPU has observed a shift in employment duration at the State of Colorado. Historically, the State relied on departing employees to pass knowledge to their successors for data entry into CPPS. As the number of short-tenured employees increases, self-guided, e-learning assures important institutional knowledge is not lost in the transition.

Did You Know - Reports
The PIT crew and our vendor partners have recently been talking a lot about reports. When sharing some of the work back to our stakeholders, we have noticed an opportunity to resurface currently available resources that could assist payroll and HR professionals in completing job tasks.
The HRDW User Guide is a comprehensive source of HRDW information. This has almost 200 pages of content, but don’t let that be intimidating. Use ctrl+f and the table of contents to easily search and navigate to descriptions, column names, and screen shots of all available reports in HRDW.
