Happy Spring! New life is emerging around us, and we are well on our way to a new payroll system! We have made some updates to our Payroll Modernization Website including sharing the Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) that was published in January. Here you can see what we asked vendors to address in the new payroll solution. We are tentatively targeting the first week of May for demos to be followed with user software trials.
As you know, we are also focused on Payroll Data as Product. We are about half way through our contracted time with our vendor partner, Ad Hoc, to develop our payroll data dictionary. This is foundational work to improve our data standardization and quality so that migrating to our new system will be faster and easier.
Many thanks to the numerous volunteers who have shared time, demoed current systems, and helped describe the payroll process. We have used this input to create a draft data catalog, scenario maps and a payroll data journey map. Now we would like more input to validate/confirm.

I am also introducing office hours as a way to stay in touch. I will be available every other Friday at 11:00 starting Friday, April 21, and you can find the meeting link on our Payroll Modernization Calendar. I will provide a brief presentation about our progress, and then I will take questions about payroll modernization topics that are on your mind. Anyone is invited!
