Happy New Year! I hope you all had wonderful holidays.
Because of your hard work and support, we have made great progress and recently published the payroll modernization procurement! Now we await proposals for the new payroll system. Vendor responses are due March 20. The evaluation committee will read and score proposals and then invite passing vendors to provide demos. Following demos we intend to request software trials to allow subject matter experts to try the proposed solutions. We anticipate that happening in April/May, and we will keep you updated.
As the procurement process takes shape, we are also focused on Payroll Data as Product. Our vendor partner is Ad Hoc, a firm specializing in data, agile development, and government digital services. We have started two-week sprints to develop our payroll data dictionary and proof of concept for analytics and reporting. The goal is to improve our data standardization and quality so that migrating to our new system will be faster and easier.
