Updated Guidance for Salons, Spas and Sole Practitioners of Personal Services Under 7th Amended Public Health Order 20-28

Dear Licensee:

Effective June 1, 2020, Governor Jared Polis issued Executive Order D 2020 091 directing Colorado to enter the new phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, Safer at Home and in the Vast, Great Outdoors. The goal remains for people to stay at home or in the vast outdoors as much as possible, and avoid any unnecessary social interactions.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), based on the Governor’s directive, issued and, on June 19, 2020, has updated the now-titled Seventh Amended Public Health Order 20-28, which provides details of certain restrictions and safety guidance by broad industry type. CDPHE is making the information contained in the Public Health Order available via the Safer at Home webpage.

The changes set forth in the public health order, along with updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and others, are reflected in revised Guidance for Salons, Spas and Sole Practitioners of Personal Services.

We continue to endeavor to provide the information you require as you work to safely resume certain business practices in the midst of COVID-19’s presence in Colorado. We appreciate your patience as we work to account for many diverse scenarios during an unprecedented time.

Thank you.
