Coronavirus Event Update

Combative Sports Licensees:

Developments surrounding COVID-19 has had a significant effect on activities throughout Colorado, and the Office of Combative Sports Licensure wanted to provide a quick update on the most recent guidance available when considering next steps.

The Department of Public Health and Environment is recommending that all mass gatherings and community events scheduled over the next eight weeks, including sporting events, that consist of 50 people or more be canceled or postponed. This aligns with guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control. These announcements were made Sunday, March 15, 2020.

We realize that these measures will potentially create a significant impact to your business. However, the safety of all Coloradoans is tantamount, and as the spread of this virus continues, public distancing has become critical in ongoing attempts to slow this public health crisis.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact Tony Cummings, Program Director, for Combative Sports at the Department of Regulatory Agencies at Anthony.Cummings@state.co.us or 303-894-7844.
