The Division of Insurance (DOI) and the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) are pleased to announce the initial stakeholder meetings to discuss a State option for health care coverage as envisioned by House Bill 19-1004.
The first meeting will be held at the HCPF offices at 1570 Grant, first floor, in the Hibiscus Conference Room. on Wednesday, May 29, from 10:30 a.m. - noon.
The second meeting will be held on Thursday, June 13, from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at the Division of Insurance, 1560 Broadway - with the room to be determined later.
These initial meetings will consist of a review the bill, the charge contained in the bill, and the process for the stakeholder meetings. A report must be filed with the legislature by November 15, 2019, which means that those who wish to participate in the stakeholder process will be asked to devote the time and energy necessary for meaningful discussions on the issues specified in the bill.
