Digital Navigator Corner
Partnership with Senior Planet Licensing Program
Thanks to a partnership with Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) Senior Planet Licensing Program, digital navigators (DNs) who have completed the training have access to over 150 lectures, workshops, and courses that are part of the Senior Planet Curriculum. A few of the lectures and workshops that will be offered at some locations this quarter are:
- All Things Zoom
- Gmail Tips and Tricks
- Google Maps
- Ridesharing Apps
- Staying Safe Online
- YouTube
The programming is offered in-person to adults aged 50+, and materials are available in English, Spanish, and Chinese. There is no cost to participate.
As a licensed partner, CDLE has access to these proven, engaging, and relevant programs and curriculum designed specifically for older adults to support them in staying connected, informed and active. Find a location near you that offers Senior Planet programming.
Join the Digital Navigator Community of Practice
The Digital Navigator Community of Practice includes an online discussion board for anyone in Colorado who provides navigation services, including career, health, housing, etc. Members ask questions and share resources. The other way to engage is to participate in monthly Zoom meetings from 8:30 - 10:00 am MST on the last Wednesday of the month. Join the Digital Navigator Community of Practice Meeting on Zoom.
Past discussion topics have included trauma-informed digital navigation services, fear of technology, adult learning principles and techniques, and preferred types of professional learning opportunities.
