Notice of Construction - Dillon Dam Road Scheduled for Resurfacing and Temporary Closure Beginning Sept 14, 2026

The Town of Dillon will resurface Dillon Dam Road between Highway 6 and the Denver Water guard shack beginning Monday, Sept. 14. The road will be closed to all traffic, day and night, throughout construction and is expected to reopen by the end of the day Friday, Sept. 18, weather permitting.

Asphalt milling is scheduled to begin Monday, followed by paving and striping Tuesday through Thursday. Weather conditions may require work to continue into Friday. The resurfacing project will help maintain the roadway and provide a safer, smoother driving surface.

During the closure, motorists accessing the Dillon Town Center, residences and condos, Dillon Marina, parks and Dillon Amphitheater should use Lake Dillon Drive. Travelers heading toward Frisco or Breckenridge should use Swan Mountain Road or I-70.

Please plan ahead, allow additional travel time and use caution near the construction area. The Town appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation while this important roadway maintenance is completed.
