Work Session
- Mountain Dreamers gave a presentation to council.
- Council discussed requiring "Completion Bonds" for private development projects.
- Mead and Hunt gave a presentation to council regarding the original Highway 6 Roundabout Design from 2021.
Regular Meeting
- Consent Agenda - Council approved the items on the Consent Agenda including:
- Minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 16, 2025 and Regular Meeting of January 6, 2026.
- Approval of bill list dated January 15, 2026 and payroll ledger dated January 9, 2026.

Ordinance No. 01-26, Series of 2026 - First reading to set the public hearing for an ordinance submitting to the registered electors of the Town of Dillon, Colorado the questions of:
- 1. Amending section 3-1 of the Dillon Home Rule Charter of the Town of Dillon ("Charter") to remove the requirement for Town Council to meet twice each month;
- 2. Amending section 3-7 of the Charter to remove the requirement that appropriations, fixing rates charged by any municipal utility system, and any act which places a direct burden upon or direct limitation on the use of private property, be made by ordinance;
- 3. Amending section 8-10 of the Charter to modify the time period for completing annual audits from within four (4) months after the close of the fiscal year, to six (6) months after the close of the fiscal year, unless an extension is authorized;
- 4. Rescinding section 9-6 of the Charter providing for a voter-approved four-year delay in implementing Tabor requirements;
- 5. Amending section 11-5 of the charter to bring the language regarding improvement district taxes into compliance with Tabor;
- 6. Amending section 14-3 of the Charter to remove the requirement that leases of Town property for more than one (1) year be by ordinance; and
- 7. Amending subsection 14-11(10) of the Charter to change the publishing requirement from a newspaper of general circulation to the Town's website.

- Consent Agenda - DURA approved the items on the consent agenda including:
- Minutes of DURA Regular Meeting on January 6, 2026
- DURA entered into an Executive Session pursuant to §24-6-402(4)(e) and § 24-6-402(4)(b), C.R.S. for determining positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations, developing strategy for negotiations, and instructing negotiators and to receive legal advice on a potential option agreement and legal questions related to the foregoing issues, in which event the session, or portions of the session, will not be recorded.

Candidate Packets Now Available for Pick Up
Are you interested in serving your community as a Dillon Town Council member or Mayor? Candidate packets for the April 7, 2026 municipal election are now available for pick up at Dillon Town Hall. Voters located within Dillon town limits will elect one Mayor and three Town Council members during this election.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, have lived in Dillon town limits for at least twelve consecutive months prior to the election, be a registered voter, and meet all legal eligibility requirements.
Candidates must gather a minimum of 25 valid signatures from registered Dillon voters (collecting additional signatures is recommended in the event that some are invalid.) This excludes unincorporated areas of Dillon Valley, Summerwood, Summit Cove and Keystone. Completed and notarized petitions must be filed with the Town Clerk by 5 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2026.
 Dillon Community Meeting Series
The next Dillon Community Meeting is coming up on Thursday, January 22 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at Lord of the Mountains Lutheran Church — with a virtual option available for those who are unable to join in person.
January's topic is (topic moved from the canceled Dec 4 meeting), Economic Development & Local Business Support: "Balancing Residents & Visitors": Discuss approaches to economic growth that supports both residents and local businesses. The session will be facilitated by the Keystone Policy Center, a trusted partner helping communities like ours chart a thoughtful path forward.
Whether you’re a longtime resident, a business owner, or simply someone who loves Dillon, your voice matters. Together, we’ll explore what makes our town unique and define the shared values that will shape our next chapter.
We hope you’ll join us in guiding the future of Dillon — in person or virtually. Light refreshments will be provided.

Public Comment
We encourage citizens to attend meetings in person to express comments either during public comment, which occurs shortly after the meeting begins, or at a public hearing.
Public comment may also be submitted electronically. Public comment must be submitted by 1 p.m. on meeting days. Although they will not be read during the hearing, comments will be provided to the reviewing body and so entered into the record as evidence for the public hearing or citizen comments.
