Big Head Todd and the Monsters Summer Residency at the Dillon Amphitheater
For the first time in Colorado history, iconic rock band Big Head Todd and the Monsters will launch a three-show summer residency at the Dillon Amphitheater.
The residency features one Saturday performance each month this summer, each with a specially curated opener:
This series marks a major milestone: the first summer-long residency by a nationally touring act at a Colorado venue, solidifying Big Head Todd and the Monsters’ deep connection to their home state and their commitment to creating unique live experiences for fans.
Tickets are available now, priced at just $34 per show, or $95 for the full three-show package, making it easy for fans to join the band all summer long for this one-of-a-kind residency.

Stage 1 Fire Restrictions in Place
As fire danger increases, stage one fire restrictions are now in place throughout Summit County. It's essential for everyone—residents and visitors alike—to understand what these restrictions mean. Under stage one, open flames, campfires (unless in designated fire rings), and fireworks are prohibited. Swan Mountain Road Construction
Swan Mountain Road will undergo a full-depth reconstruction starting July 2025 into October. The entire road will be replaced over the next 2-3 years with construction occurring in the warmer months. Closures can be expected through the month of July.
July 14-18 - Full closure from Lowry Campground to Summit Cove. Single lane rolling closures on the west side of the road, from SH 9 to Lowry Campground.
July 21-23 - Full closure from Lowry Campground to Summit Cove.

Town of Dillon Seeks Applicants for Reactivated Economic Development Advisory Committee
The Town of Dillon is accepting applications from interested persons to fill seven at-large vacancies on the town’s Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC). The Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the Dillon Town Council regarding all aspects of the Town’s commercial development, with a goal to enhance the Town’s economic health now and into the future. Members of the committee are not required to be residents of the Town of Dillon. Interested persons should apply by July 16, 2025 at 5 p.m. A brief interview with the Town Council will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 during the Work Session, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Non-Profit Grant Application Now Open
The 2026 grant application opened on June 13, 2025 and closes on August 13, 2025 at noon. Any non-profit seeking monetary support from the Town of Dillon must apply through the yearly county-wide grant program.

Curious about electric vehicles? Come test drive the latest EV models, chat with local owners, and learn about incentives and charging options—all for free! These hands-on events are a fun, no-pressure way to explore driving electric in Summit County. This event aligns with the Town of Dillon's Community Climate Action Plan and Energy Action Plan. It also aligns with the work Dillon is doing to bring EV charging to public spaces in Dillon.

Historic Boat Tours with Summit Historical Society Guides

Country Dancing

Dance the night away with country dancing at the Dillon Amphitheater in partnership with Summit Country Dancing. For those new to country dancing or looking to brush up on their moves, the first hour dance instructors are available to teach basic steps and routines. This makes the event accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their prior dance experience. Attendees can enjoy a variety of country dance styles, including line dancing, two-step, and partner dancing.
