Happy Friday! This week’s Bulletin features an exciting sneak peek at our new SENSE Colorado logo, an invitation to our May Connections Hour in Wheat Ridge, several great community events hosted by HLAA, and our comprehensive Behavioral Health InfoGuide for Mental Health Awareness Month.
Sense Colorado Logo Input Requested: The transition to our new alias, SENSE Colorado, is underway! With our new name and website (sensecolorado.org) live, we are excited to give you an exclusive sneak peek of our new visual identity. We want to ensure this new look truly reflects the communities we serve. Before we present the final design to the Enterprise Board for a vote this coming Tuesday, we need your initial impressions. Please take two minutes to check out the proposed logo and share your thoughts.

CDOO's Historic Statewide Needs Assessment: The Colorado Disability Opportunity Office (CDOO), in partnership with the Colorado Health Institute (CHI) and the Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition (CCDC), is launching the state’s first-ever comprehensive disability needs assessment! This "landscape analysis" will look closely at both the needs and assets of our community to help guide future resources, bridge gaps, and measure progress. CDOO wants to ensure this process is heavily guided by the voices of people with disabilities and their families. You can sign up for project updates to learn more and ensure you are notified when the statewide survey officially launches.

Mental Health Awareness Month: May is Mental Health Awareness Month! Taking care of our mental well-being is just as important as our physical health, but we know that finding accessible support can sometimes be a challenge for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind communities. To help bridge this gap and connect you with the right care, we have compiled a comprehensive Behavioral Health InfoGuide. Whether you are looking for ASL-fluent private therapists, telehealth services, specialized organizations like the Deaf Counseling Center, substance abuse recovery groups, or accessible 24/7 crisis hotlines, this guide is designed to help you navigate your options. We encourage you to explore the guide to find providers and resources tailored to your specific communication needs. Remember, you are never alone, and accessible help is always available.
Due to a lack of demand, ASL and Spanish Translations for Division Bulletin are available upon request by contacting office.cddhhdb@state.co.us or 720-457-3679.
