Accessible Communications: DeafBlind Programs is thrilled to announce a new recorded phone line for DeafBlind consumers. This resource allows consumers to listen to DeafBlind Program updates. The line may include Enterprise communications such as the Bulletin, e-blasts, and listserv announcements. The phone number for this line is (303) 866-2080.  Save the Date: The Deaf Festival! Come and join us for a fun-filled day celebrating Deaf History Month! This event features a wide variety of vendors, DHHDB-owned businesses, community organizations, and service providers sharing valuable resources. The Division team will be there with a booth, so please stop by and say hello! The festival will be held at the Rocky Mountain Deaf School (10300 W. Instant Captions! Making Your Phone More Accessible: Did you know your smartphone has built-in tools to caption everyday conversations and media in real time? Whether you’re in a noisy room or watching a video on mute, these free features are available right out of the box: Android: Go to Settings > Accessibility to enable Live Transcribe (for speech) or Live Caption (for media). iPhone: Navigate to Settings > Accessibility > Live Captions. Pro Tip for iPhone Users: To avoid having captions clutter your screen when they aren't needed, set up the Accessibility Shortcut. By linking Live Captions to a triple-click of your side or home button, you can toggle the feature on and off instantly without diving back into your settings. It’s a simple way to stay connected and make communication more accessible wherever you go.
