Announcing our new website launch: Our new website, SENSEcolorado.org is now live! We've made the content more organized and easier to find. We are also adding new features to make the site accessible by including American Sign Language (ASL) Translations using PIVOT by dozanü innovations. A quick note: we have put spoken language translations on hold while we figure out vendors and the state’s AI policy. Thank you to dozanü innovations for their work on this project!

Aira ASL - Expanding Accessibility: Accessibility is growing across Colorado with Aira ASL, an on-demand virtual services that helps connect Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind, and hearing individuals through ASL. The app provides quick free access to communication support. In Colorado, Aira ASL is currently available at many public locations, including: 42 Colorado State Parks; Breckenridge Tourism Office and Welcome Center; Colorado Department of Human Services; Colorado State Capitol; DVR offices; Denver International Airport, and more locations across the state. Taking Our First Steps Together: The DHHDB Aging Planning Committee held its first meeting on March 10th to explore ways to better support Colorado’s older DHHDB communities. Committee members were introduced, and a two-phase plan was shared to increase resources and connections - Spring 2026: An educational webinar for professionals who work with older adults. Fall 2026: An in-person expo bringing DHHDB communities together with aging organizations. We’re excited about what’s ahead—stay tuned for updates and announcements!

We provide qualified/certified sign language interpreters, CART captioning, and Cued Language Transliterators to provide communication access in Colorado's rural areas at no charge, as resources permit.
