Fire Destroys Home in Northern Boulder County
Three people are displaced when their home burns
Boulder County, Colo.--
At approximately 5:05 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2015
Boulder Communications received a 911 call to a residence in the 14,000 block
of north 75th Street (just south of Woodland Road). The caller indicated
a clothes dryer, that was outside the residence, caught on fire. Residents
attempted to put the fire out, but it spread to the house. As of 8:00 p.m. fire
crews were still fighting the fire and finding hot spots inside the residence.
Emergency crews on scene include: the Boulder Sheriff’s Office, American
Medical Response (AMR) Ambulance, and Hygiene, Lyons, Lefthand, Berthoud Fire
Protection Districts, St. Vrain Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) and the Longmont
Emergency Unit.
Red Cross is also on scene assisting to shelter three people
who live in the residence. There were no injuries reported at this time.
The Multi Agency Fire Investigation Team will be at the
residence tomorrow to investigate the cause and origin of the fire.
