As we get ready for our next Advisory Committee meeting, we’re excited to announce three new Advisory Committee members:
- Dan Denham, General Manager, San Diego Water Authority
- Brad Sherwood, Assistant General Manager for Business and External Affairs, Sonoma Water
- Anselmo G. Collins, Chief Operating Officer, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power
Learn more about our new Advisory Committee members on the our website. A special thank you to outgoing Advisory Committee members Joone Kim-Lopez, Grant Davis, and Juan Guerreiro, we appreciate your time and dedication to California Water Plan (CWP) 2028.
On August 25 and 26, the Advisory Committee will learn more about DWR’s approach to assessing future water supply gaps, hear local and statewide perspectives on the Colorado River, and begin discussing what will be included in CWP 2028, including the process for developing CWP recommendations. Information about upcoming public engagement opportunities, including the roll out plan for Regional Forums will also be shared. Meeting agenda and materials are now available; meeting details are below.
The Advisory Committee both makes recommendations to DWR and informs development of the CWP. The Advisory Committee is an appointed body, and all committee meetings are open to the public. A public comment period will be available on Day 2; please refer to the agenda for additional information. Meeting details are listed below.
