The next California Water Plan 2028 (CWP 2028) Advisory Committee meeting is coming up soon in Alhambra, and we hope to see you there. The meeting’s agenda and materials are now available on our website.
The Advisory Committee will learn more about DWR’s approach to assessing future water supply gaps, hear local and statewide perspectives on the Colorado River, and begin discussing what will be included in CWP 2028, including the process for developing CWP recommendations. Attendees will learn more about upcoming public engagement opportunities, including the roll out plan for Regional Forums.
Pre-meeting materials include information on the baseline assumptions, which are important to the CWP planning process because they help establish future water supply gaps and define how California's water system is performs today and in the future. Baseline assumptions will be covered on Day 1 of the Advisory
The Advisory Committee provides recommendations to DWR and informs development of the CWP. The Advisory Committee is an appointed body, and all committee meetings are open to the public. A public comment period will be available on Day 2; please refer to the agenda for additional information.
