CDFW's Draft Conservation & Mitigation Banking Guidelines Available for Public Comment
CDFW's draft Conservation and Mitigation Banking Guidelines (Guidelines) are available for public review and comment, beginning July 18, 2025, and ending September 3, 2025, at 5PM. The draft Guidelines are available on CDFW's Conservation and Mitigation Banking web page.
To submit comments:
- Provide a comment letter by email to mitbank@wildlife.ca.gov by Wednesday, September 3rd at 5:00 PM.
- Be sure to clearly specify the page, section, and paragraph number associated with your comment.
- Identify “red flags” or key issues.
- Identify text/concepts that are unclear.
- Provide suggested edits (what) with rationale (why) for changes.
For questions during the comment period, email mitbank@wildlife.ca.gov. Once the public comment period has ended, CDFW will review the comments and finalize the Guidelines.
CDFW is hosting a virtual webinar (webinar registration) on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 11 AM to 12 PM to discuss the draft Guidelines. If you cannot attend, a recording will be made available upon request.
