Tenant Protections Program |

The City of Sunnyvale is considering making changes to the Tenant Protections Program. These changes may include:
- Landlords may have to give more relocation assistance to tenants for no fault evictions.
- Assistance could increase from two months to three months of rent.
The City will also consider studying other ways to protect tenants, such as:
- Just cause eviction protections starting on the first day of a lease
- Adding more protection for vulnerable groups
- Using fair market rent for the relocation assistance amount
