Known for their hits like “Good” and “A Lifetime,” Better Than Ezra first burst onto the music scene in the early 1990s. Over the last 20 years they have sold millions of records and played sold-out venues across the globe. This popular alternative rock band is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, and following Hurricane Katrina formed the Better Than Ezra Foundation which has raised over $700,000 to help rebuild New Orleans and Southern Louisiana. In a career that spans twenty years and a dozen albums, saxophonist Dave Koz has established himself as one of the most prominent figures in contemporary music. His latest release, “Hello Tomorrow”, and his debut on Concord Records, was released last year with each of the thirteen tracks focusing on being open to new beginnings, and trusting that the future is unfolding in all the right ways for all the right reasons. Koz also keeps a hand in various other entrepreneurial and philanthropic ventures. Race to Nowhere points to the silent epidemic in our schools: cheating has become commonplace, students have become disengaged, stress-related illness, depression and burnout are rampant, and young people arrive at college and the workplace unprepared and uninspired. Students who are under 18 and will not be accompanied by a parent/guardian must have a signed permission slip with them in order to attend the movie showing.
