COVID-19 Update: State Vaccine Eligibility for 16+, Libraries to Reopen for Grab & Go Service, Spring and Summer Recreation Programs & More
City of San Ramon sent this bulletin at 04/15/2021 06:23 PM PDTDear San Ramon Community,
This week, Contra Costa County remains in the orange tier of California’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy.
Every Californian 16 and up is now eligible for COVID-19 vaccination. Appointments can be scheduled through MyTurn, Contra Costa Health Services, and several partner providers.
The San Ramon Library and Dougherty Station Library will reopen on Monday, April 26 for Grab-and-Go services, and registration is ongoing for swim lessons and spring and summer recreation programs.
Below are the latest updates for the San Ramon community.
Vaccine Eligibility Open to those 16+ Through State of California & Contra Costa Health Services
Every Californian 16 and up is now eligible for vaccination. Check myturn.ca.gov or call (833) 422-4255 to get a COVID-19 vaccine appointment. If appointments are not available, you can sign up to be notified when they are.
Vaccine appointments for those 16 and up who live, work, or go to school in Contra Costa County can also be made through Contra Costa Health Services. Residents can register for an appointment online at cchealth.org/coronavirus or by calling 1-833-829-2626. Callers to the CCHS COVID-19 vaccine appointment line may experience long waits due to high demand. Anyone seeking a vaccine appointment from CCHS is encouraged to schedule online instead of waiting on hold if they can. People under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to their vaccine appointment, or have a parent/guardian who can be contacted by phone during the appointment.
Healthcare systems, pharmacies and other providers have different eligibility requirements for COVID-19 vaccinations. Visit the CCHS Get Vaccinated page for information about eligibility and how to schedule an appointment with partner providers.
Residents can also use the CDC’s VaccineFinder tool to find vaccination locations near you.
If you know someone who may need a little help making a vaccine appointment, please make that offer. Check out the CCHS Vaccine Appointment Guide for step-by-step information.
