COVID-19 Update: Regional Stay-at-Home Order Lifted, Contra Costa Returns to Purple Tier
City of San Ramon sent this bulletin at 01/25/2021 01:18 PM PSTToday, the State of California lifted the Regional Stay-at-Home Order for all regions statewide, including the Bay Area, returning Contra Costa County to purple tier guidelines.
According to a press release from the California Department of Public Health, “four-week ICU capacity projections for these three regions [Bay Area, Southern California and San Joaquin Valley] are above 15%, the threshold that allows regions to exit the order.”
With Contra Costa's return to the purple tier, changes include:
- Restaurants may offer outdoor dining, following State health guidelines
- Hair salons, barber shops and personal services such as nail salons may reopen following State health guidelines
- Outdoor social gatherings involving 25 or fewer people, from three or fewer different households, are now permitted
Health guidelines regarding physical distancing and use of face coverings outside the home remain in effect, and Contra Costa County is urging residents and businesses to continue practicing health safety measures and avoiding risky activities.
