COVID-19: Live City Updates, County Vaccine Dashboard & More

Dear San Ramon Community,

This week, the State of California’s Regional Stay-at-Home Order remains in effect in Bay Area counties as Bay Area intensive care unit (ICU) availability is still below 15% in area hospitals.

Contra Costa County Health Services has launched a new dashboard tracking the number of vaccine doses administered in the county, and continues coordinating vaccine appointments for residents ages 65+.

Following last year's Virtual Mayor's Breakfasts, City staff will host a live COVID-19 update this Friday, January 22 at 9 a.m. on YouTube, and winter classes though San Ramon's Parks and Community Services department continue through February.

Below are the latest updates for the San Ramon community.

Bay Area ICU Availability Remains Below 15%, State Regional Stay-at-Home Order Still in Effect

The State of California’s Regional Stay at Home Order remains in effect in the Bay Area, as available intensive care unit (ICU) beds are still below the 15% threshold. Bay Area ICU availability was 7.0% as of January 20. The order will end once the region’s ICU capacity projected out four weeks is equal to or greater than 15%.

Contra Costa County Launches Vaccine Dashboard, Continues Appointment Scheduling for Residents 65+

Contra Costa County Health Services (CCHS) has launched a vaccine dashboard showing how many doses have been administered in Contra Costa County, with data on the number of doses administered each day, how many residents have received first and second doses, and the percentage of residents in each category. The dashboard also includes how many first and second doses have been distributed by city, and is updated daily.

At this time, Contra Costa County residents who are 65 years & older (Phase 1B, Tier 1) can sign up to receive a COVID-19 vaccine through Contra Costa Health Services. Healthcare workers, and employees and residents of long-term care facilities (Phase 1A) are still eligible for vaccination.

CCHS also has updated information on vaccine distribution through local healthcare providers.

As the County moves through upcoming phases/tiers, and appointments open for additional groups, updates will be available on the City website, and through email and social media.
