COVID-19 Update: Resources for a Safe & Healthy Holiday Weekend
City of San Ramon sent this bulletin at 07/02/2020 04:45 PM PDTDear San Ramon Community,
Earlier this week, Contra Costa Health Services announced that re-openings originally planned for July 1 have been postponed due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in the County. At this time, no additional closures have been announced, and decisions about future re-openings will be based on County Indicators.

Slow the Spread: Hand Washing, Face Coverings & Physical Distance
According to Contra Costa Health Services, many people who carry and spread the virus have no symptoms themselves. That is why it’s important for everyone to continue regular hand washing, observe physical distancing, and wear face coverings within 6 feet of anyone you do not live with.

⮞ Video presentation: Dr. Patrick Joseph, Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, discusses how the coronavirus spreads, the risks of contracting the virus in different situations, and how to make informed decisions about various activities.

Schedule a COVID-19 Test
Widespread testing is necessary to slow the spread of COVID-19 so that additional activities can safely resume. People can spread the virus without knowing they are sick, and testing helps identify people without symptoms who could be spreading COVID-19 so that they can stay away from work and public places until their infectious period is over.
Widespread testing also provides Health Officials with a more accurate picture of how many cases exist in our community and where the virus is spreading. While Contra Costa has seen an increase in the numbers of people being tested over the past several weeks, Contra Costa County Health Services highly encourages everyone who lives and works in the county to get tested, even if they have no symptoms.
