Lady K & the Kings of Swing: Harvest Ball

Celebrate fall at the Harvest Ball!  Come dance to the fantastic big band sounds of Lady K and the Kings of Swing! This will be a fun evening of mixed dance styles sure to please.  From Foxtrot to Cha Cha, east coast to west coast swing, a broad variety of dance styles will be in the mix.  The venue features plenty of tables and chairs, and a very large dance floor.  An optional 30-minute dance lesson will be provided during the event by dance instructor Joallyn Bohn who makes learning to dance easy and fun! If you like to dance, or just enjoy the excitement of Big Band music, this will be an enjoyable event for all ages.  Advance Tickets strongly recommended. No host bar provided by the San Ramon Arts Foundation.


Bedtime Theater

Bring your little one to age 2-7 to a special presentation planned just for them! Wear your pajamas and bring your favorite stuffed animal. Milk and cookies will be served following the performance.

We kick off the 2018-2019 Season with a special 80's Night on October 12 featuring The Romantics and Special Guest Tommy Tutone, followed by The Ten Tenors on November 17, iLuminate (As Seen on America's Got Talent) on March 2, Blue Oyster Cult on March 16 and rounding out the season with Billy Ocean on April 6.

Chinese Immersion and Enrichment Program

Pinnacle Learning offers an all year-round Chinese After-School enrichment program designed for students in elementary school.  This program is professionally created by a bilingual curriculum expert and is taught by highly trained and experienced bilingual teachers.  The program emphasizes making learning fun and effective.  Students will embark on a meaningful journey through immersive experiences by participating in interesting games and activities, doing arts and crafts, singing Chinese songs and performing hands on lab experiments, etc.  Students learn to speak, read, and write Chinese through 21st century teaching techniques.

Chinese Immersion for Beginners

This class is designed to motivate and foster students’ interest in learning Chinese as their second language. Students will embark on a meaningful journey in which they will develop a joy and appreciation of the Chinese language, ultimately it will lead them to a skillful and successful bilingual.   The emphasis of the class is to make learning fun and effective through interesting games and activities, arts and crafts, Chinese music and songs, and hands on lab experiments. The goal is to have students learn Chinese naturally in an interactive and comfortable setting, so that students embrace Chinese language and culture with confidence and enthusiasm.

Vibrant Elementary Drawing

Learn how to draw vibrantly and sketch engaging subjects. Our proven method fosters increased focus, discipline, patience and creativity as well as a host of artistic skills such as art vocabulary and art history. 

Improve Your Drawings

Participants will expand their abilities simply and easily by learning how to take what they know to the next level. All activities practiced will also be demonstrated with instruction in a take-home booklet so that participants can continue to improve after the class.

Mosiac Art

Refurbish items with exciting colors and shapes of tile or paper to create beautiful art pieces. Learn the hands-on techniques to create interesting display plates and beautiful art to hang on the wall. 

Explore with Art!

Come explore art in this fun sampler class- including painting on canvas, watercolor painting, drawing, and air dry clay! Young artists will work at their own developmental and artistic level on each medium as we have explore each medium. 


Youth Hoops Basketball League

Does your child want to improve their basketball skills while competing with their peers? Join the popular Youth Hoops Basketball League where your player can participate in a season of learning and having fun!

Kindergarten Hoops

Do you have a young hoopster that loves the game of basketball? Hone their skills in our Kindergarten Hoops League! This program is a great opportunity for your child to develop skills and have fun with their peers.

Little Dribblers

Designed to introduce the sport of basketball and develop motor skills and eye-hand coordination through fun drills and games. Young hoopsters will learn the fundamentals of dribbling, catching, and shooting. Your child will enjoy developing their skills with their peers. Sign up today!

After School Hoops

Join ONE on ONE BASKETBALL for After School Hoops. Experienced instructors will conduct clinics, which will help you become a better player through drills, contests, and non-contact game competition. Participants will be grouped according to age.

Tee-Ball

Learn the game of baseball/softball in a fun, motivating and non-competitive setting while building confidence and self-esteem. The focus is on the FUNdamentals of baseball/softball (hitting, throwing, catching, fielding, base running, hand-eye coordination and confidence) with an emphasis on teamwork and team dynamics. Parent participation is highly encouraged!

Fencing

Learn the Olympic sport of Fencing, the sport of physical chess. Each class begins with warm up exercises, footwork drills, followed by blade work practice and ending with supervised bouts between fencers. The idea is to get the students fencing quickly, exercising physically while playing a game that keeps the mind active. No experience necessary.

Middle & High School Programs

Babysitting for Beginners

Babysitting is not just 'watching' children, but being responsible for their safety and well-being. This course will focus on setting up your babysitting business, safety and emergency response, diapering, playtime, bedtime, interacting with parents and more. Please wear comfortable clothing to class. Each child will receive a manual to review with their parents and the class is intended to be a 4 hour course -1 class. Class will be at the Adams Safety Training Center (Bishop Ranch #11).

Co-ed Self Defense

Two-hour Self-Defense course specifically designed by master instructor Carl Hultin from the All-American Black Belt Academy in San Ramon. Students will develop power and confidence by practicing the easy to learn self-defense techniques used by professionals. Skills like punching, kicking and blocking technique combined with using elbows and knee strikes. Using specific joint locks to break free from an attacker. Students will practice on the kick bags to develop power and confidence that can protect themselves. Our instructors will simulate various types of attacks so the students will know how to react to them. We hope to help the students overcome any fears they may encounter during a self-defense situation.

Tai Chi Sports Recovery and Performance

This Tai Chi class aims to help you enjoy your favorite sports (running, biking, swimming, etc) longer and more often. Tai Chi does more than just meditation, but also can strengthen one's lower body in order to avoid sports injuries, such as runner's knees. Tai Chi is also "stretching in motion" that speeds one's recovery from strenuous workouts so you can go back to the sport sooner.
