Marin Clean Energy (MCE) asks our youth to answer the question, "How did you give back to the earth this past year?"
MCE Because of Youth Campaign 2022
Youth advocacy across the globe has been a driving force for climate action. From starting community projects, to speaking at global climate conferences, there is no limit to what powerful youth action and voices can do in the fight against climate change.
Are you an environmental leader aged 15-24 living in Marin Clean Energy’s Solano County service area (Benicia, Vallejo, Fairfield and unincorporated Solano County)? MCE wants to celebrate your commitment to a more sustainable future during Earth Month this April. Whether you lead an environmental club, participate in community clean-ups, or make up-cycled jewelry, MCE wants to share your story. Participants will be awarded a swag bag* and a certificate presented by an elected Councilmember or Supervisor from their jurisdiction. (Entrants from outside MCE’s service area are also welcome to participate).
How to Participate
- Create your submission of a photo and a 50-200 word caption responding to the prompt: “How did you give back to the earth this past year?”
- Send your submission to MCE’s Instagram at @mceCleanEnergy before Earth Day on April 22, 2022, and follow MCE to keep an eye out for your story!
- When you see your story on MCE's profile, share it with your friends and family to keep the momentum going! If your story generates the most buzz on MCE's Instagram during the month of April you will be invited for a blog spotlight.
- After the campaign has concluded, keep an eye out for a message from MCE with details about your certificate, and if you have been invited for a blog interview.
