The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors met in-person with remote public participation available via Zoom on Sept. 9, 2025. Below are the results of selected items on the agenda:
SHERIFF
- Adopt a resolution renewing the County’s ordinance that adopted and approved a Military Equipment Use Policy for the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office and making findings based on the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office’s annual military equipment report for the period of June 1, 2025, through May 31, 2026.
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
- Adopt a resolution approving a Project Labor Agreement between the County of San Mateo and the San Mateo County Building and Construction Trades Council, along with affiliated unions, which shall apply to all County public works projects awarded over a five-year term, beginning July 1, 2026, with an engineer’s estimate or cumulative bid amount above the monetary thresholds established in the agreement, and authorizing and directing the County Executive, or designee(s), to execute the Project Labor Agreement on behalf of the County and take all steps necessary and appropriate to effectuate and carry-out its terms.
- Adopt a resolution in support of Proposition 50 to temporarily authorize changes to congressional district maps and affirm California’s commitment to fair, nonpartisan redistricting nationwide.
COUNTY EXECUTIVE
- Adopt a resolution:
- A) Declaring the Board of Supervisors’ intent to purchase the real property described as 3335 Spring Street, Unincorporated County of San Mateo, identified as San Mateo County Assessor’s Parcel Number 055-101-160 (“Property”), for a total purchase price of $2,000,000; and
- B) Authorizing the President of the Board of Supervisors to execute a Real Estate Purchase and Sale Agreement and Escrow Instructions (“Agreement”), with the owners of the Property, Yue Weng and Sui Wang (“Seller”), for the County’s acquisition of the Property; and
- C) Authorizing the County Executive or their designee to execute the Certificate of Acceptance upon satisfaction of certain conditions in escrow, to be recorded with the grant deed transferring title to the property to the County, as well as any and all notices, escrow instructions, and documents required to facilitate the purposes of the Agreement.
