Volunteer as an Adult Learning Tutor with San Mateo County Libraries.

Did you know over 85,000 adults in San Mateo County have low literacy skills, according to the National Center for Education Statistics?

San Mateo County Libraries is seeking volunteers to provide free, weekly, one-on-one tutoring to help adult learners improve their reading and writing.

No prior teaching experience? No problem! San Mateo County Libraries provides free training and support.

Volunteers must be 18 or older and commit to weekly sessions for 6 months.
