Help Share This Event! 5/28 - Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors

Hello, Mental Health Month Planning Committee,

Menlo Park Library is hosting a free event on Tuesday, 5/28 from 1PM to 2PM at Menlo Park Library, 800 Alma St, Menlo Park. Please join us and help share this event! Pre-registration for this event is required and can be done either online or via phone at 1-800-272-3900.

About the Event

Our speaker from the Alzheimer’s Association will share caregiver tips and strategies to respond to some common behaviors exhibited by individuals living with dementia, such as agitation, confusion and more.

Behavior is a powerful form of communication and is one of the primary ways for people with dementia to communicate their needs and feelings as the ability to use language is lost. However, some behaviors can present real challenges for caregivers to manage.

Join us to learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common behavior triggers, and learn strategies to help intervene with some of the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.

Please preregister for this free event, either online, or by phone at 1.800.272.3900.
