Middlefield Road Improvement Project Updates

Middlefield Road Day Closures & Detours: between 3rd and 5th Avenues

• AT&T Manhole work. The blocks between 3rd to 5th avenues will be fully closed to vehicular traffic. Please follow signs for detours.

          Location:  Middlefield Rd – Southbound and Northbound from 3rd Ave to 5th Ave

   Date & Times: 3/23/2023 from 9am to 12pm, weather permitting

• Ongoing Calwater water line relocation on Middlefield Road. Flagger controlled one lane traffic from 3rd to 5th avenues. Please follow signs for detours. Northbound traffic and Sam Trans buses will be allowed to pass thru Middlefield Road.

  Location: Middlefield Rd – Southbound and Northbound from 3rd Ave to 5th Ave

  Date & Times: 3/23/2023 to approximately 4/14/2023 from 8am to 5pm*, Monday to Saturday, weather permitting

• Performing formwork, sidewalk pour and streetlight installation. Expected noise impacts to businesses near the area where work will be taking place. Dust control efforts will be in place while this work is underway.

  Location: Middlefield Rd – Southbound from 4th Ave to 5th Ave

  Date & Times: 3/23/2023 to approximately 3/27/2023 from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, weather permitting

Pedestrian access will be available. Bicyclists and vehicles are advised to safely share the road. Access will always be provided and maintained for local businesses.

*Unless specified, full road closures may occur in between these work hours.
