Middlefield Road Improvement Project Updates

Shared The Road. Slow for the Cone Zone.

Description of work occurring from December 5 to approximately December 16, 2022

  • Performing formwork, sidewalk concrete pour and roadway work. Expected noise impacts to businesses near the area where work will be taking place. Dust control efforts will be in place while this work is underway.
    Location: Location: Middlefield Rd – Southbound from First Ave to Third Ave
  • Performing electrical, irrigation, sidewalk, formwork, and roadway work. Expected noise impacts to businesses near the area where work will be taking place. Dust control efforts will be in place while this work is underway
    Location: Location: Middlefield Rd – Southbound from Third Ave to Fifth Ave
  • Performing trenching including saw cutting, excavation, jackhammering and debris removal with trucks. Expected noise impacts to businesses near the area where work will be taking place. Dust control efforts will be in place while this work is underway
    Location: Location: Middlefield Rd – Southbound from Douglas Ave to Pacific Ave
  • Maintain traffic patterns, lane configurations and parking    
    Location: Location: Middlefield Road - Northbound and Southbound from Douglas Ave to Fifth Ave                                                                

Temporary pedestrian and vehicular detours may be set up while crews are working. Bicyclists and vehicles are advised to safely share the road. Access will always be provided to businesses.
