A guide to buying Procurement Software

The cities and towns in San Mateo County (SMC) had previously requested assistance with their procurement education. The SMC Procurement heard the request and undertook Request for Information (RFI) 1674 for eProcurement and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) Software Solutions.

The culmination of this RFI is a product demonstration showcase of 4 software solutions, to provide an idea of what is available in the marketplace. This is followed by the discussion "Essential Considerations for Buying Procurement Software".

In the last 5 years the technology of procurement software solutions have greatly changed and there have been large advances in process efficiencies for users.
