San Mateo County Controller: Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFR) Update

The San Mateo County Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is now available online.

The CAFR provides both an overview as well as details of the County's financial transactions for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2020. This publication, which is divided into three main sections, has everything you could possibly want to know about the County's financial activities.

• Introduction - contains a narrative overview of the economic conditions and outlook, long-term financial planning and County's major initiatives and organizational structure.
• Financial - contains an Independent Auditor's Report, the Management's Discussion and Analysis (a narrative with highlights of the financials), the Basic Financial Statements, Notes to the Basic Financial Statements, Required Supplementary Information, and the Combining and Individual Fund Financial Statements and Schedules.
• Statistical - presents a variety of statistics in 10-year trends encompassing the County's economic, financial and demographic data.
