The San Mateo County Census Team is working with partners to ensure that we have an accurate count of ALL residents in Census 2020. We have formed eight Strategy Work Groups, which are developing plans, messaging, and toolkits to support census outreach. Next, we will be forming Community Action Teams across the county to encourage and support local communities in standing up for the count.
Census Champions
Thank you to all the people who are working hard to ensure our county is accurately counted in the 2020 Census. Our County Census Steering Committee provides expertise and knowledge needed to guide and support county-wide efforts to educate, motivate and support residents in participating.
Our Complete Count Committee, co-chaired by SAMCEDA and Thrive Alliance for Nonprofits, includes diverse stakeholders across sectors to provide strategy, input on communication and messaging, dissemination of information through their existing channels, as well as engaging with trusted messengers across the county to serve as champions for Census 2020.
