We have updated the Hack-SMC website with some new ideas for apps. You don't have to use these ideas, we just wanted to give some examples of real-world challenges faced by a few County Departments. We could really use YOUR help coming up with creative tech solutions! We will only send out 1 more email reminder about buying tickets for Hack-SMC 2016. We hope you will join us at GSV Labs on Saturday, May 21 as developers, engineers, entrepreneurs, students, techies, activists, designers and citizens of San Mateo County participate in an all-day competition to use open data and technology to create web and mobile apps that improve our communities. You do NOT need to be a professional developer or a resident of San Mateo County to participate! Our event is open to all passionate, creative, innovative, forward-thinking, problem-solving people who want to improve our community. PLEASE NOTE: Participants must register in advance, we will not be selling tickets at the door. If you plan to participate with a team, make sure your teammates register ASAP. You do not need to be on a team to participate. There may be a chance to form a team at the event, but we can't guarantee you will be able to form a team.
