CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: WATER SYSTEM REPAIRS
City hired local contractors, TerraCon Constructors and Northern Pacific Corporation, are making progress replacing fire damaged water services. This work includes replacing water service lines from the water main to the meter, extending the new service line from the meter to 12” behind the back of sidewalk on the property side, installing a new water meter box, and replacing the sidewalk as needed.
Property owners with contaminated water service lines are required to replace property side service lines, from the back of sidewalk to the home, to ensure the contamination has been removed. Extending the service line 12” to the back of the sidewalk will eliminate the need for property owners to dig up and repair the sidewalk when replacing property side water service lines.
INSIDE THE ADVISORY AREA
City crews are assisting with water turn offs and the operation of the water system during construction. In addition to TerraCon replacing water service lines, City crews are flushing nearly 250,000 gallons of water per week through the water system. We are optimistic, based on current sampling data, that the combination of replacing the water service lines and continuous flushing may resolve the issue. The City anticipates that water service line replacement in the advisory area will be complete by mid-August 2018.

Water Quality Advisory
The water quality advisory remains in effect for this isolated portion of Fountaingrove. Click here to view map.
OUTSIDE THE ADVISORY AREA
City crews are assisting with water turn offs and system flushing as the contractor, Northern Pacific Corporation, works to remove and replace contaminated water service lines. The data shows that replacing service lines is effective in removing the contamination. The City anticipates that service line replacement outside of the advisory area will be complete by September 2018.

Water Quality
The City of Santa Rosa continuously monitors our community’s drinking water supply. Outside of the water quality advisory area, extensive sampling shows that water being supplied through water mains and services to homes, public facilities, schools, and businesses meet all drinking water standards.
