The San Diego County Board of Supervisors holds public meetings where community members are welcome to attend and share their thoughts. Meetings take place at the County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway, Board Chamber (Third Floor, Room 310), San Diego, CA 92101, unless otherwise noted on the agenda.

Meeting Date: Tuesday, May 19, 2026 and Wednesday, May 20, 2026

The following agenda items were carried over from the May 19, 2026 General Legislative Session to be considered on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 in the following order:

9:00 am:

  • 35. Initiate Transition of San Pasqual Academy (Academy) and Continue Community Engagement to Identify Feasible and Sustainable Options for the Future of the Academy

10:00 am:

  • 24. Modernizing the San Diego County Charter to Strengthen Transparency, Accountability, and Independent Oversight
  • 25. Adopting a Revised Resolution of the Board of Supervisors Proposing Amendments to the Charter of the County of San Diego Entitled “A Transparent, Accountable, Modern County Government” and Amending the Ordinance Modernizing the San Diego County Charter to Strengthen Transparency, Accountability, and Independent Oversight"

After conclusion of items 24 and 25:

  • 31. Fiscal Year 2025-26 Third Quarter Operational Plan Status Report, Budget Adjustments, and Authority to Execute a Grant Agreement with Feeding San Diego (4 Votes) (Including Fire Protection District Item 2 and Flood Control District Item 1)
  • 32. Authorize Actions Necessary to Implement Prior Board Direction on Unlocked Reserve Funds: Award and Amend Grants and Contracts, Including Authorization of A-87 Exemption to Competitive Procurement to Approve Single Source Contract with City Heights Community Development Corporation

If you already requested to speak on item 35, your request has been received, and you do not need to resubmit your request to speak.

The items on the Land Use Legislative Agenda will be considered after concluding the continued items from the General Legislative Session.

The public can attend Board of Supervisors meetings in person and share comments. Overflow rooms are available to watch the meeting and wait to speak. Meetings are held at the County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway, Room 310 (Third Floor), San Diego, CA 92101. Free parking is provided.

Disability Assistance:

  • Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs): Available from the Clerk in Room 402 before the meeting and must be returned afterward.
  • Sign Language Interpreters: Contact the Countywide ADA Title II Coordinator at (619) 531-4908.
  • Wheelchair Accessibility: An area at the front of the Chamber is reserved for wheelchair users and other accessibility devices.

Interpretation Services:

The County of San Diego wants everyone to be able to participate in Board meetings—no matter what language they speak.

Spanish interpretation is available for public speakers at Board of Supervisors meetings. Other languages, including Arabic, Mandarin, Korean, Persian, Somali, Tagalog, and Vietnamese, can be provided upon request at least 72 hours before the meeting. Refer to Board Policy A-139 for additional information.

If you need help understanding the meeting or want to provide interpretation for someone else, we’re here to support you.

What We Offer

  • Space in the Board Chamber Observation Balcony for people who are providing or receiving interpretation.
  • Use of personal devices (like phones or headsets) to listen to or provide interpretation by someone you bring with you.
  • Help connecting to outside interpretation services, if needed.

How to Request Help

Please contact the Clerk of the Board in advance at PublicComment@sdcounty.ca.gov so we can make arrangements.

Interpretation must not interrupt the meeting, as outlined in Government Code Section 54957.95.
