Trail Tips for Hiking with Dogs

This video featuring County Parks and Recreation staff in our mountain region provides some good tips to keep dogs safe when they join you in parks and on trails. Check it out before your next adventure. 

Bike Park Closed July 8 to 19

From July 8 to 19, the gates will be closed at a popular sports hub while experts complete routine maintenance projects including adding a coat of slurry to all riding surfaces, repairing the sides of the course, and replacing some components in the skills area. Sweetwater Bike Park, located at 6057 San Miguel Road in Bonita, opened in 2020. On site are two flow trails, four jump lines, a kid’s pump track, a skill zone, and a perimeter trail. The park is the first of its kind in the region, and this video does a great job of sharing that story. Sweetwater Bike Park’s special features make it a busy hangout for riders of all ages, so it sees its fair share of wear and tear. Annual maintenance is necessary to keep the park open, year-round.

DID YOU KNOW? We manage four community centers and one multi-purpose sports park where we run specialized classes, camps and programs. Because these require registration and fees, they are promoted differently than other park activities.
