FDA authorizes and CDC recommends updated bivalent vaccines for adults 65 years and older.

Adults ages 65 and older may receive an additional bivalent booster if it has been at least four months since their last dose. People with compromised immune systems may receive an additional dose as early as two months after their last bivalent shot.

Monovalent (original) COVID-19 mRNA vaccines are no longer approved for use in the United States.

Mpox cases wane but persist: Test and vaccinate!

While cases of mpox have decreased substantially, the virus still circulates at low levels. As festival season approaches, anyone at risk should continue to be aware of the symptoms and recommend both doses of the mpox vaccine.
