County Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Nora Vargas joined the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation and its partners on Thursday, March 16, to celebrate the arrival of a set of retractable goal posts at Lincoln Acres County Park. The innovative amenity transitions a single-use basketball court into a multi-sport court. Soccer players can pull up the goal posts to practice their dribbling and goal scoring skills and take the goal posts off the field when they are done so the court can be used for other activities. A new month means a new roundup of Rad Regional Parks activities - this time focusing on the popular Ramona campground, Dos Picos County Park. Peek in and plan a day to connect with the ranger team during one of five specialty programs!
BYOB (Bring Your Own Basket) to four bunny-themed egg hunt events and a family-friendly nature festival. We've planned free parties at parks across San Diego and you're invited!
Plant trees, participate in park beautification projects, attend workshops and more in this year's April 22 - Earth Day lineup. We've joined forces with other agencies, so be sure to visit us online for updates.

 It's never too soon to start training for our bi-annual Warrior Hike Challenge! Taking place Saturday, May 27 (Memorial Day weekend), this event at El Capitan County Preserve breaks the difficult trail into three heats with celebration stations at optional turnaround points and free water, snacks and prizes.
