  Dear Food Facility Operators,
The County of San Diego Public Health Order has been updated to reflect recent State changes to information regarding gatherings, face coverings, and food service operational hours. Effective November 21, 2020, all restaurants, bars, wineries, distilleries and breweries shall be closed from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. every day except for delivery, take-out, and drive-thrus.
From 5:01 a.m – 9:59 p.m. onsite dining can occur in outdoor operations conducted under a tent, canopy, or other sun shelter, as long as no more than one side is closed, allowing sufficient outdoor air movement. Indoor dining is not allowed until further notice.
Please continue to take all the following necessary precautions to slow the spread of COVID‐19:
- Wear face coverings.
- Physically distance six feet when possible.
- Frequently wash your hands.
- Stay home if you’re sick.
- Follow industry specific guidelines for COVID‐19.
- Review your onsite Safe Re‐opening Plan or Food Facility Protocols, and if necessary, update it to be consistent with the new requirements.
We appreciate your continued commitment to protecting public health. If you have questions regarding this information or your operation, please contact our duty information specialist at (858) 505‐6900 or email at fhdutyeh@sdcounty.ca.gov.
