WATER QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PLAN UPDATE
Public Input Opportunity for the 2021 San Diego River Watershed Management Area Water Quality Improvement Plan Update
Dear Interested Stakeholders,
This email includes information for the public opportunity to provide input on the San Diego River Watershed Management Area (SDR WMA) Participating Agencies’ update of the Water Quality Improvement Plan (WQIP). The focus of the update is the incorporation of the Famosa Slough Alternative Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL).
An established Consultation Committee, comprised of representatives from the environmental and development communities, and Regional Water Quality Control Board staff have met and discussed the WQIP updated material provided for this review. The Consultation Committee is familiar with the SDR WMA and their knowledge and expertise have provided the Participating Agencies with valuable feedback.

30-day Public Review and Comment Period
The update of the SDR WMA WQIP, provided as an addendum to the WQIP, is available for a 30-day public review and comment period beginning November 11, 2020, and ending at 5:00pm December 11, 2020. Material can be downloaded from the Project Clean Water website at the location provided below. Please include all of your comments in the tracking document and submit to Ruth de la Rosa at ruth.delarosa@sdcounty.ca.gov by 5:00pm on December 11, 2020.
