MAINTAINING MY STRUCTURAL BMP NEWSLETTER
HAVE YOU COMPLETED YOUR BMP MAINTENANCE VERIFICATION?
It’s that time of year and San Diego County Watershed Protection Program is reminding you to complete your self-verification documents (SVDs) for Structural Best Management Practices (SBMPs) located on your property. Owners and Responsible Parties for SBMPs should have received SVD letters containing information pertinent to your responsibility in maintaining BMPs on your property. Contained in your SVD letter is your BMP Record Name, BMP Name, Record ID (SBMP Identification Number), and Pin number. You may choose to send through mail or use the SVD portal to submit online quickly and easily. Please note, due to COVID -19, any submissions mailed to the office may take longer to process. All submissions for SVD maintenance verifications should be received by September 30, 2020.
For your convenience, submitting online is now easier than ever. Visit the SVD portal and enter your SBMP Identification number and Pin number provided in your letter to begin. Once you are in the portal you can update contact information, upload pictures of your BMP and submit your maintenance documentation in a few simple steps. For more detailed instructions regarding online submissions please visit our Structural BMP webpage at https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/stormwater and click on Maintaining My Structural BMP link.
