I was honored to attend the City of Chino’s Memorial Day event as we came together to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.
May we never forget their courage, and may their lives continue to inspire us to live with gratitude, purpose, and appreciation for the blessings we enjoy every day.
Thank you to the City of Chino for hosting such a meaningful tribute to our fallen heroes.

Thank you to everyone who attended my Annual Summer Open House! This year was definitely one for the books with a record-breaking crowd of more than 400 attendees!
One of the best parts of the evening was seeing residents connect directly with County departments and regional resources to get questions answered, learn about services, and meet the amazing people who help keep our community running every day. From great conversations and community connections to food, fun, and resources, this event truly highlighted what makes the Fourth District so special.
Thank you again to everyone who attended and to all of our participating departments and community partners who helped make this event such a success.

Recently, I had the opportunity to speak at the ONT Global Business Symposium, hosted by the Taiwanese-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Los Angeles, alongside my colleague, Ontario International Airport CEO, Atif Elkadi.
We had a great conversation about the impact ONT continues to have on the Inland Empire, from trade and business opportunities to infrastructure and capacity expansion, workforce development, community partnerships, and energy innovation.
It’s exciting to see how collaboration between business leaders, local agencies, and regional partners continues to create new opportunities and strengthen our economy for the future. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible!
It’s here… and the timing couldn’t have been more real.
Last year, I was proud to donate $125,000 to the Chino Valley Fire District to help purchase specialized electric vehicle firefighting equipment. As more EVs hit the road throughout the Chino Valley, our firefighters are facing new challenges, including longer burn times, reignition risks, and hazardous material containment. Investing in the right tools and training has never been more important.
And on the very day the new vehicle was being unveiled, CVFD crews were alerted to an active EV fire off Grand Avenue in Chino Hills.
Thanks to the incredible response from the Chino Valley Fire District and the specialized equipment now available to them, crews were able to quickly control the fire and help protect nearby homes and residents. It was a powerful reminder of why investing in public safety matters.
Our first responders put their lives on the line every day to protect our communities, and they deserve the resources needed to keep up with evolving technology and emerging challenges.
Thank you Chino Valley Fire District for your fast response, professionalism, and continued dedication to keeping our community safe every single day.

I had the honor of emceeing and welcoming attendees to this year’s City County Conference, where regional leaders, policymakers, and industry experts came together to discuss the future of San Bernardino County.
One of the highlights was San Bernardino County Fire’s demonstration of their quadruped “robot dog” technology, designed to help firefighters safely investigate hazardous environments without putting personnel at risk. It was an incredible example of how innovation and public safety continue to work hand in hand.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this important regional conversation possible!
Our veterans answered the call to serve our country with courage, sacrifice, and dedication. Now it’s our responsibility to make sure they have the support they need here at home. 🇺🇸
I was proud to present Veterans Legal Institute (VLI) with a $100,000 check to help continue providing free legal services to at-risk, low-income, homeless, mentally ill, and disabled veterans, active-duty service members, and reservists across San Bernardino County.
To date, VLI has already helped more than 1,000 local veterans through legal clinics and online services, assisting those facing challenges like housing instability, financial hardship, and access to benefits.
As the need for these services continues to grow, this funding will help support three attorneys dedicated to serving veterans in our region and ensuring they receive the care, resources, and justice they earned through their service.
Thank you to VLI for the life-changing work you do every day for our veterans and their families. We are proud to stand alongside you in supporting those who have given so much for our country.

I'd like to give a huge shoutout to all the amazing participants who showed up and gave it their all at the 2026 Chino Legends in Action. This is an action-packed 10-event competition, from fun games to fierce competition, the energy was unmatched!
From medal winners to our overall champs, these legends 50+ proved that staying active, competitive, and having fun never goes out of style
During the closing ceremonies, I had the honor of presenting Certificates of Recognition to each participant, celebrating their dedication, energy, and incredible spirit.

I had such a fun time celebrating with the City of Montclair last month at their monthly Senior Birthday Celebration! The room was full of laughter, big smiles, and that special sense of community that makes moments like this so meaningful
It’s always great to see our seniors come together to celebrate one another and create new memories
A big thank you to everyone who helps make these celebrations happen—our seniors truly deserve it!
Last month, I had the honor of attending the 2026 Montclair to College (MTC) graduation.
Montclair to College is an incredible college-readiness program offered to Montclair High School students and their families through a partnership among the City of Montclair, the Montclair Community Foundation, Chaffey College, and the Chaffey Joint Union High School District. The program gives students the opportunity to earn a two-year scholarship to Chaffey College and this year more than 175 students proudly completed the program.
Through MTC, students receive valuable support every step of the way, including a dedicated counselor and Success Coach, priority registration for two years, and full coverage of tuition, textbooks, fees, and parking. They also benefit from personalized, one-on-one student support services to help them succeed.
Congratulations again to the 2026 MTC graduates!
Ontario International Airport (ONT) officials plan to welcome more than 2.2 million passengers over the summer travel season thanks in part to the addition of new flights and expanded services on previously existing routes.
The total number of air passengers expected to travel through the Southern California gateway is forecast to be 2,244,208 based on current airline information. This year’s estimate is comparable to summer 2025.
Ontario International Airport (ONT) released a Notice of Preparation (NOP) of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for key facility and infrastructure improvements, including a new passenger terminal, as part of its ambitious ONT BOLD (“Building Our Legacy & Destiny”) program. The NOP begins preparation of a comprehensive EIR which will evaluate potential environmental effects and identify strategies to minimize or mitigate environmental impacts.
The proposed project includes a new terminal facility (Terminal 3), modernization of the existing Terminals 2 and 4, and optimization of the airport’s terminal roadways, curbs, vehicle parking, rental car facilities and aircraft apron – including a new parking garage – all to meet the airport’s growing demand. The new three-level Terminal 3 would have approximately 650,000 square feet of interior space, a new Federal Inspection Services (FIS) facility, and security and passenger processing infrastructure. Some of the gates would be equipped with Multiple Aircraft Ramp System (MARS) stands which can facilitate either two narrowbody or one widebody aircraft.
The proposed project would incorporate efficient, sustainable and future-ready solutions into the airport’s campus, provide improved operability and meet the expectations of ONT passengers and the needs of the airlines and tenants.
