Check Your Congressional District Before You Vote
As a result of voter-approved Proposition 50 in 2025, your congressional district may have changed. For example, the entire city of Twentynine Palms moved from Congressional District 23 to Congressional District 25. These changes mean some residents will receive constituent services from and vote for a different representative in Congress.
Residents are encouraged to verify their current congressional district and elected representatives before the election. Voters can look up their district and representative using the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters District Look-up tool: District Look-up by Address – San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters.

Supervisor Rowe Connects with Needles Community During Desert Visit
Supervisor Rowe recently spent time in Needles, meeting with local leaders and residents during a visit that highlighted both the community’s strengths and its growing momentum.
The day included a tour of the city alongside City Manager Patrick Martinez and Mayor Janet Jernigan, offering an up-close look at current projects and opportunities in this important Tri-State hub. Residents and local stakeholders attended a community luncheon to share insights on their priorities and the region's future.
Supervisor Rowe also met with San Bernardino County Fire Assistant Chief Bill Villarino and Captain Jordan Burchett to discuss ongoing public safety efforts in the desert communities. Those efforts include preparation for the start of the busy boating season on the Colorado River. Each year, visitors from across the region flock to Needles for water recreation, bringing energy and economic activity to local businesses.
The city also serves as a welcoming stop for the annual “Run for the Wall” motorcycle ride, a cross-country journey honoring veterans that begins in California and travels to Washington, D.C. On Wednesday, May 13, Needles will host a lunch for riders on the first day of the trip. To learn how to volunteer or provide other support, click on the Needles Military Moms page on Facebook.

Burn Permits Suspended as Fire Risk Rises
Both CAL FIRE and the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District have suspended residential burn permits and open burning in State Responsibility Areas and unincorporated parts of the county due to increasing fire danger. Early fire activity, rising temperatures, and drying vegetation have created conditions that make wildfires more likely and more difficult to control.
Under the suspension, outdoor burning of landscape debris is no longer allowed, and existing burn permits are temporarily invalid. Some limited exceptions may be granted for essential health or safety purposes, but generally, residents should assume open burning is prohibited. Campfires are permitted only in designated areas, such as developed campgrounds or parks, if properly maintained and safe.
The suspension will remain in effect until conditions improve. Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant, maintain defensible space around their homes, and use alternative methods for disposing of vegetation. For more information, residents can view the official CAL FIRE notice here and the County Fire proclamation here.
