Here's a quick roundup from today's San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors meeting:
The Board of Supervisors adjourned today's meeting in honor Grant B. Ward, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Sergeant and SEBA President. There are no words to adequately describe this loss. Grant was my friend, an exceptional leader, and someone I greatly respected. As SEBA President, he served our county with integrity, humility, and a deep commitment to public service. He led by example and earned the trust of all who worked with him. My heart goes out to his wife and children, who were the center of his life. Our county family has lost one of its very best, and I have lost a dear friend. You will be missed my friend. Rest in peace.
I also adjourned today's meeting in honor of Bob Ulloa, who passed away at the age of 87 after a brief illness. Bob was married to Mayor Eunice Ulloa for more than 50 years and was a steadfast supporter throughout her more than four decades of service to the Chino community. Bob proudly served our nation as a United States Navy Veteran and continued his commitment to public service as a field representative for former Supervisor Larry Walker and the late State Senator Ruben S. Ayala, and as chairman of the Citizens Advisory Committee for the California Institution for Men. Bob was known for his civic pride, love of aviation, and passion for classic cars. My heartfelt condolences are extended to Mayor Ulloa and her family during this difficult time.
