As we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, it's a perfect moment to pause and appreciate the many blessings we share as a community. This season reminds us of the connections that bring us together, the progress we've made, and the opportunities still ahead.
I'm truly grateful for each of you. Your hard work, service, and the kindness you show your neighbors make the Fourth District a stronger, more vibrant place to call home.
From my family to yours, we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving filled with love, gratitude, and joy.

Dec. 2 marks the tenth anniversary of the 2105 terrorist attack in San Bernardino. On that day, 14 people were taken from us, including 13 county employees. Many more were wounded, physically, and emotionally.
The county government family will always remember these 14 souls. The public is invited to join us in observing a moment of remembrance at 10:55 a.m. on Dec. 2 on the county's Facebook, X, and InstagramPlatforms.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at my Annual Veteran Claims & Resource Event! It was a day dedicated to supporting the brave men and women who have served our country.
I'd like to give a special thank you to my team and our partners at the Department of Veteran Affairs. Their dedication, preparation, and compassion helped make the event a true success. Because of their hard work, 22 Veterans received assistance, 20 benefit interviews were conducted, and 6 San Bernardino County Veteran ID Cards were issued during the event.
Earlier this month, my office proudly joined communities across the nation in Operation Green Light for Veterans. From November 4 to November 11, 2025, my District Office glowed a vibrant green, a small but meaningful gesture to honor the brave men and women who have served.
It's not just about lighting up a building, it's about shining a light on challenges many veterans continue to face long after their service ends and reminding our community of the support available at the county, state, and federal levels.
Operation Green Light, led the National Association of Counties and the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers, has grown into a powerful nationwide movement. With more than 450 counties taking part between 2023 and 2024, the message is clear: our veterans are seen, valued and supported.
