Flood Watch Issued for Parts of San Bernardino County
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch through Saturday evening for portions of the county, including Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, Twentynine Palms, Joshua Tree, and Needles. Increasing tropical moisture from Hurricane Priscilla will bring multiple showers and thunderstorms to the region, with the heaviest rainfall expected Friday afternoon through early Saturday.
Residents should remain alert for possible Flood Warnings and prepare to act quickly if conditions deteriorate. Areas near washes, canyons, low-lying roads, and recent burn scars near the Yucaipa Ridge and the Line/Bridge Fire zones may be more vulnerable to flash flooding or debris flows.
In coordination with partner agencies, San Bernardino County Public Works is closely monitoring the incoming weather and ready to respond as needed. The County’s Preparedness Portal — prepare.sbcounty.gov — provides real-time updates on weather conditions, road closures, emergency alerts, and interactive maps and resources to help residents stay informed before, during, and after storm events.
Residents are encouraged to download the “Ready SB County” app on the App Store and Google Play to receive local emergency information, safety checklists, and notifications directly to their mobile device. In addition, you can sign up for the county’s Telephone Emergency Notification System (TENS) to get critical alerts by phone, text, or email, including evacuation notices and flash flood warnings specific to your area. Learn more about both services at oes.sbcounty.gov.

This benefit is one way we can honor that service.” Veterans may apply by calling 877-885-7654 or 909-387-8307, emailing propinfo@arc.sbcounty.gov, or visiting arc.sbcounty.gov.
