 2nd District Annual Open House
 We had our third annual open house at my District Office. I want to take a moment to thank everybody who came out to support!  Fontana Pop-Up Office Hours
 We recently hosted our Pop-Up Office Hours in Fontana, creating a welcoming space for Second District residents to stop by, share their concerns, and let us know how we can best support them. These community conversations are an important way for us to stay connected and ensure that your voices are heard.

Sooner the Safer Partnership & Donation
 Drowning is a leading cause of accidental death for children in the U.S. That’s why I’m proud to partner with RSL Aquatics to provide $25,000 in tuition assistance for families who cant fully afford swim lessons. Every child deserves the chance to learn to swim, stay safe, and enjoy the water. This initiative helps save lives, promote public safety, and raise awareness about a preventable tragedy.
Renaming Randall Pepper Elementary to O'Day Short Elementary
 The renaming of Randall Pepper Elementary to O’Day Short Elementary stands as a tribute to the values of unity, respect, and hope for a brighter future in our community. All are welcome, valued, and included. The new name honors the O’Day Short Family, who were victims of racial violence. This important change was inspired by student Cyrus Moss, who, after learning about the family’s history, led a petition calling for the school to carry their name.
Congressman David Rouzer Visits San Bernardino County
 Congressman David Rouzer, Chairman of the Highways and Transit, Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, visited San Bernardino County to explore potential opportunities for federal investments in our region.
Cucamonga Service Station Tour
 I had an honor of touring the historic Cucamonga Service Station and hearing about their exciting plans to build and expand. It’s great to see the work being done to preserve such an important part of our community’s history.
California University of Science and Medicine Tour
 Did you know that we have multiple medical schools here in the Inland Empire. One of those being California University of Science and Medicine? I had the opportunity to see how comprehensive this school is and I'm proud that they have partners with Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, to provide resources to our students entering the medical field right here in San Bernardino County.
San Bernardino County Purchasing Department Tour
 I had the opportunity to tour through our Purchasing Department at the county. It was great to meet with the team and see all of the amazing services they get to offer. From internal county mail, to printing services, to running costs for the county, our purchasing Department is a great example of what our county has to offer.
San Bernardino County Agriculture/Weights and Measures Tour
 Supervisor Armendarez had the opportunity to tour the San Bernardino County Agriculture/Weights and Measures to get a fundamental understanding on their services, the policies and procedures they oversee at the county.
San Bernardino County Human Resources Tour
 Supervisor Armendarez toured the San Bernardino County Human Resources Department with HR Director Leonardo Gonzalez. This tour allowed for the Supervisor to learn more about what HR does and how it can better serve the employees in San Bernardino County.
 National Night Out
 We want to thank everyone who hosted and joined us for National Night Out this year! Supervisor Armendarez had the pleasure of visiting over 14 fantastic events throughout the 2nd District. We hope everyone enjoyed the celebration and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
Upland Rotary Club Meeting
 Supervisor Armendarez recently shared an update with the Upland Rotary Club highlighting key investments made in the City of Upland. These efforts focus on strengthening local businesses, enhancing public safety, and improving critical infrastructure to better serve the community.
Rancho Cucamonga Fire Badge Pinning Ceremony
 We were honored to attend the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Badge Pinning Ceremony, celebrating the promotions and welcoming the newest firefighters of tower 29. Congratulations to all as they continue their dedication to keeping our community safe!
IASA Independence Day Celebration
 The Indo American Social Association (IASA) hosted a vibrant celebration of India’s 78th Independence Day at the 5 Rivers Banquet Hall. The evening brought the community together with delicious food, lively performances, and music from a DJ, creating a joyful atmosphere of unity and cultural pride.
24th Annual Incredible Edibles
 The 24th Annual Incredible Edibles brought together some of the best restaurants and food vendors to serve delicious dishes in support of the YMCA’s kids swimming program. This event not only showcased incredible food but also helped promote pool safety throughout our community.
Simple Solutions & Rise 2 Grind Foundation, Back to School Event
 Simple Solutions Psychotherapy, in partnership with Rise 2 Grind Foundation, hosted a Back to School Community Event at Red Hill Community Park in Rancho Cucamonga. Families enjoyed a day filled with resources and activities, while children received free school supplies and haircuts to help them start the school year with confidence.
Upland Music in the Park
 The City of Upland hosted Music in the Park, a fun summer event that brought families together to enjoy live performances, good company, and warm summer air. This community tradition provided a wonderful opportunity for residents to relax, connect, and make lasting memories while celebrating the season.
Fontana Boys & Girls Club Donation Giveaway
 The Fontana Boys and Girls Club hosted a special backpack and clothing giveaway for their students, helping them gear up for the new school year. Thanks to the generous support of Target, every child received free school supplies and a brand-new backpack. Amazon Fresh also joined in providing fresh fruit and goodies for the kids to enjoy. It was a wonderful event that celebrated our students and gave them the tools they need to succeed.
Upland Elementary Back to School Night
 Our office had the honor of joining the Upland Elementary Back to School Night, hosting a booth alongside many wonderful community partners who provided valuable resources for families. Students had the chance to gear up for the new school year with free supplies, haircuts, raffles, and plenty of fun activities to enjoy before the school year.
2nd District Senior Center Birthday Celebrations
 Each month, we look forward to celebrating the birthdays of our wonderful seniors throughout the Second District. We're especially grateful to the Fontana Community Senior Center, James L. Brulte Senior Center, and George M. Gibson Senior Center for their ongoing support in making these celebrations meaningful and memorable.

It's truly inspiring to see the continued growth and success of businesses in our community. Each ribbon cutting marks the beginning of a new chapter - one filled with dedication, achievement, and opportunity. We celebrate your accomplishments and wish you continued success for many years to come!
FACC Luau Dinner
 The Filipino American Chamber of Commerce (FACC) hosted their annual Luau Dinner, a wonderful fundraising event that highlighted their accomplishments over the past year. The evening brought community members together to celebrate their work, strengthen connections and support the Chamber’s ongoing efforts.
Love Fontana Event
 The community came together for the Love Fontana celebration at Miller Park. Hosted in partnership with Calvary Chapel Summit Church and the City of Fontana, the event featured live music, free food, and a variety of community resources. Volunteers dedicated their time to creating a day filled with fun, connection, and support for local families.

- $233,000 contributed to the River’s Edge Ranch to combat drug addiction, reduce recidivism, and do what we can to decrease poverty in our communities. These funds will assist the ranch in expanding their facilities to provide more services, to more people.
- $45,000 contributed towards the Housing and Recovery Initiatives through the purchase of furniture, landscaping and fencing for the Dorsey Property in Fontana
- Established “No Commercial Parking Zone/Tow Away Zone” of commercial vehicles having a manufacturer’s gross vehicle weight rating exceeding 10,000 pounds, pursuant to 65) Consolidated Agenda for Tuesday, August 5, 2025 Page 18 of 36 County Code Sections 52.0128(a), 52.0132(a), and 83.11.100(a)(1), on Beech Avenue in the Fontana area.
