 It was a splash-tastic day in Bloomington as families gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the brand-new Ayala Park Splash Pad! The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official unveiling of this exciting $1.4 million project—bringing a fun, free, and safe water play space to the heart of the community.
San Bernardino County officials broke ground on the Glen Helen Parkway Bridge project, a $52.15 million project that will complete the infamous “bridge to nowhere”, over Cajon Wash. This project will construct a four-lane bridge that will help ease traffic congestion, enhance emergency response, and make travel to and from Glen Helen Regional Park much more convenient.
San Bernardino County Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. proudly partnered with the Jayden Daniels Foundation to host the first Community Day at Cajon High School—the alma mater of NFL quarterback and San Bernardino native, Jayden Daniels. The event brought together more than 1,000 local students and families for a day filled with school readiness, community connection, and family fun.
$404,178 Contract Awarded for Olive St. Project in the Colton Area
 This project will involve sidewalk construction, curb and gutter, installation and replacement of streetlights, in accordance with current design standards and ADA guidelines. The Project is located on Olive Street, from approximately Jackson Street to North Rancho Avenue.
New Swing Sets Coming to Ayala Park in Bloomington
Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. has allocated $67,038 to the $267,038 project which will bring two brand-new swing sets to Ayala Park. This investment comes at the request of community members.
Cooperative Agreement with the City of San Bernardino for Street Repairs, Maintenance, and Emergency Work
 The agreement will allow the Coutny and City to share labor, equipment, and resources for road maintenance and emergency repairs when it’s more cost-effective and faster. Work may include street and highway repairs, fencing, drainage, grading, soil stabilization, storm cleanup, striping, chip sealing, and paving.
