San Bernardino County Assessed Property Values Rise 6% as 2025 Assessment Roll Is Delivered
SAN BERNARDINO, CA — San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk Josie Gonzales officially delivered the 2025 Assessment Roll to Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector (ATC) Ensen Mason on July 1, marking a 6% year-over-year increase in assessed property value. The total roll value reached $361.17 billion, up from $340.67 billion in 2024, reflecting the assessed value of all locally evaluated real estate, business, and personal property as of January 1.
“Every number on that roll represents a family, a homeowner, a small business, and a dream,” said Mason. “My job is to ensure that tax bills are calculated correctly, and property taxes are collected and distributed with accountability and respect. We are committed to safeguarding both public funds and public trust.”
“Delivering the 2025 Assessment Roll is a moment of great pride for me. As your Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk I am committed to ensuring that every property is valued with the utmost fairness and accuracy, supporting the services that make San Bernardino County a wonderful place to prosper and call home,” said Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk Josie Gonzales.
The property tax process begins with the County Assessor, who is responsible for fairly and accurately determining the assessed value for all properties subject to taxation within the County. These assessed values are then provided to Property Tax, which manages the complex task of calculating taxes for over 900,000 parcels. Once the calculations are complete, the Tax Collector generates, mails, and collects the property tax bills. In addition, Property Tax is responsible for distributing the collected revenue to more than 600 taxing entities.
In addition to the annual assessment roll delivery, 2025 marks a milestone in ATC’s modernization efforts. On July 14, 2025, ATC will launch TaxSys, a new cloud-based property tax system designed to enhance security, efficiency, and transparency. Taxsys replaces a legacy system developed in-house during the 1980s. The system’s debut will coincide with the launch of ATC’s newly redesigned public website, improving access to property tax services for residents and businesses.
“Taxpayer confidence is at the heart of what we do,” Mason added. “This new platform helps ensure a fair and responsive tax system that supports the essential services our communities rely on.”
Mason also reminds property owners that paying online at www.SBCountyATC.gov is the safest, fastest, and most affordable method of payment.
